David Dimberio, Chief Entertainment Officer
Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, David graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School and the University of Notre Dame. He has spent the last two decades of his career in sales, most of which consisted of implantable medical devices. For the past several years, David has been involved in many small businesses from an ownership standpoint as well. With a fascination of the entertainment business, David founded Combat Ops in 2015 and opened its first location in Fort Wayne in November of 2016. David wanted to bring a style of entertainment that was different, something more engaging, for both kids and adults. And with the addition of axe throwing, mini-golf, the NERF-style tag arena, as well as mini/duckpin style bowling, the arcade, laser maze, & much more to come, David has created an entertainment venue that is perfect for the whole family – and one that will get the family active while having fun.
As Chief Entertainment Officer, David’s goal is to continually improve Combat Ops Entertainment and he strives to provide a new and unique experience every time you visit.
Much of Combat Ops was actually designed by David. From the large-scale arenas, down to smaller details like the use of “dog tags” as your admission ticket to some of our attractions. David has personally built many of the items you see at Combat Ops because he loves woodworking, building, and creating.
In his free time, David loves spending time with his wife, Cindy, and 2 children Donny and Laura and his dog, Dewey. He attends our Lady of Good Hope Church. When the weather is nice, you probably will find him on the golf course if he isn’t at Combat Ops or spending time with his family.
Jason Watts, General Manager & Director of OPS
Prior to working at COA Jason was a Technical Sergeant in the Indiana Air National Guard. He served as a member of the 122nd Security Forces Squadron, 122nd Fighter Wing, right here in Fort Wayne. He recently retired after twenty years of service. After joining Combat Ops as a Game Master, he used his military experience to help create some of the first missions for the arena. He strived to combine a little bit of realism and a lot of not-so-real adventure into the games, hoping to challenge players and give them a genuine first-person shooter experience.
As the General Manager, his goal is ensure that everyone who comes in has a great time, and leaves with a good story to tell. He is a father of five, and have been married to his wife, Tina, since 2001.
He enjoys reading, writing, and drawing, and of course, his Xbox.
Jason and his family are also active in fostering rescue dogs. They have fostered over thirty dogs and counting.
Aspen Gray, Director of Facility Training and Development
Aspen Gray is a full-time employee at Combat Ops Entertainment. Aspen is the Director of Facility Training and Development, which includes the management of the COE staff and the upcoming attractions. Born and raised in Fort Wayne, he has been in the entertainment business locally for over 5 years. When he isn’t working, he spends his time watching horror movies with his two dogs Belle and Taz, listening to his favorite music, or completing his full-time schooling. Find him at our facility usually working on our many graphic design projects and media, or working on one of our newest top secret attractions.
Jason Groce, Director of Missions & Games
Jason was born and raised in Indianapolis. He joined Combat Ops Entertainment in 2016. He graduated from Ball State University in 2006 with a major in music. Jason enlisted in the US Army in 2009 and served 7 years. Jason is married with 2 kids.
You will find Jason in our laser tag arena, designing new and engaging missions or making arena changes to enhance gameplay.
Cindy Dimberio, Director of Communications
Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Cindy graduated from Carroll High School and then Ball State University. She began her career in broadcast journalism at WKJG-TV 33, and produced television for almost a decade at WTHR-TV, the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis. A highlight of her career was earning an Emmy for best newscast. The highlight of her personal life was marrying David, a kindergarten classmate, and then starting a family. Cindy has two children, a dog named Dewey, and an aquarium full of saltwater fish. In her free time, Cindy spends time with her family and attends Our Lady of Good Hope church. She enjoys cooking/baking with her kids, gardening, walking any nearby trail, and writing. Cindy puts her writing/editing skills to use for Combat Ops Arena as well as helping customers have the best entertainment experience possible in Fort Wayne.
Don Dimberio, Director of Corporate Sales
Don was born in Cleveland and graduated from The University of Notre Dame. He went on to earn an MBA from The Ohio State University. Most of his career was centered in the plastics industry mainly in management and sales. He served as president of two companies, most recently Global Tool & Automation, a company he founded. He and Mary Jane have been married for 55 years and have four wonderful children each of whom is happily married. He is most proud of his seven grandchildren and is very active with golf and other interests. Don looks forward to using his many years in business and marketing to help son David achieve much success with Combat Ops Arena.
Rachel Jones, Director of Hospitality and Social Media
You can often find Rachel working on our social media platforms creating posts and interacting with the customers. When she is not working on social media, she is organizing parties and events as well as hosting them. Rachel has over 5 years of experience in Fort Wayne’s entertainment scene. Outside of COA, she works alongside her mother in the family business restoring and refinishing wood floors. When she is not working, she enjoys listening to and playing music, spending time on the lake, and exploring with her dog, Hux.
